Hong Kong’s financial industry is undergoing a big transformation. With the Shanghai-Hong Kong Connect and later the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Connect launched, and our Hong Kong Exchange having acquired London Metal Exchange, amid the inclusion of around 230 of mainland Chinese stocks included in the MSCI Emerging Markets Index, Hong Kong is on a new phase of development as a global financial centre. Graduates of the Finance Programme, with our emphasis both on hard and on soft skills, will be well placed to gain employment from the expected increase in manpower demand in the future.
